For me, I'll never forget the one where Mary falls in a randon ditch/hole and falls asleep from the exhaustion of calling for help. She wasn't blind yet, and she took off her glasses which caught the sun's rays and set the hole on fire! I wore glasses as a girl and was always weary that, if I were to fall in a hole, to cover my glasses from the sun's rays.Carriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14213611428858292055noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16027645.post-63982572102775908512007-01-10T06:00:00.000-08:002007-01-10T06:00:00.000-08:00Yup, that's the one where he talks about the elect...Yup, that's the one where he talks about the electric chair. I forgot that I already outed myself with my obsession.
I do remember the creepy lady who made laura dress up. People in the olden days were a little scary.
Today's episode featured Pa working on blasting a railroad tunnel with a crew of "chinamen" as they called the asian workers. He earned enough money to pay for Mary's surgery and a happy ending:) It's all in a days work for Pa.kbmulderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01019841339337309828noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16027645.post-70579336647695933462007-01-09T19:50:00.000-08:002007-01-09T19:50:00.000-08:00Kathy! Previous comments clued me to your obsess...Kathy! Previous comments clued me to your obsession (Rob Lowe and Half Pint? BUSTED! haha!) I vaguely remember the ones you're talking about. Is the one with Mr. Edwards when he says he's heard of this new invention called the Eee-lectric chair and he'd like to be killed with it? That screwed me up too. And, oh - how about the one where Laura gets kidnapped by this crazy lady whose daughter died and she puts Laura in the basement and makes her wear the dead daughter's clothes? EEEEEE!Special Khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08229302072441415979noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16027645.post-57697918798905974012007-01-09T18:35:00.000-08:002007-01-09T18:35:00.000-08:00Kelly!!! I have recently been obsessed with watching re-runs of Little House for the past couple months, I have it on our DVR and have to watch it everyday now. I love it so much - it is still my favorite show. The saddest episode is when Laura is jealous of her baby brother and wishes him dead, then he dies and she almost kills herself because of the guilt.
I don't remember seeing the episode you mentioned, so we must have different channels of re-runs.
I recently saw an episode where Mr. Edwards tries to kill himself because he is paralyzed. Laura gets hysterical and Pa slaps her in the face. I couldn't believe that one!!!
Okay, sorry to ramble, but I have nobody to talk to about this obsession. Andy despises the show and everyone else just laughs at me. It can be cheesy, but it can also be pretty juicy too!!kbmulderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01019841339337309828noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16027645.post-24872527562818593222007-01-09T14:58:00.000-08:002007-01-09T14:58:00.000-08:00Oh, yeah, the one where she reads the Bible and de...Oh, yeah, the one where she reads the Bible and decides that it told her to cut off her hand?!?! That was EFFED UP! And it effed me up good, because me and my sibs were like, "God wants us to cut off our hands?!?" But in my house, we were not allowed to question the Bible, so that was just a question that went unanswered. Good times, yeah.Special Khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08229302072441415979noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16027645.post-88579513311016898712007-01-09T07:11:00.000-08:002007-01-09T07:11:00.000-08:00I think for me it's the time when Ma went crazy wi...I think for me it's the time when Ma went crazy with the fever, while all the rest of family was out who-knows-where, and Ma is sick and rolling around and out of her head, and then she grabs the knife...

....Goo-ooo-ood Tiiiiimes!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16027645.post-62585658473723547822007-01-09T06:43:00.000-08:002007-01-09T06:43:00.000-08:00I think I spent more time than is healthy wonderin...I think I spent more time than is healthy wondering where pa's beard went. I mean, it's like clearly in all the picures in the book, not to mention the times when Half-Pint makes reference to it.

I think it's great that we both have traumatizing images seared into our brains from that show. Mine is about fire. By God, I will NEVER smoke a cigarette in a barn.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
