Weekend in Review

Well, last week was a doozy, what with the surprise birth of C&D's baby (name: D.I.) and the beginning of our chaotic period at work. I made several trips to the hospital to admire baby and otherwise spent a lot of time trying to hold my head on straight. Weekend came non-too-soon. Friday night - book club - very fun; Sat.: shopping for a bathroom vanity, which we did NOT buy but had a pretty good time looking around. I kind of want this

But I also like this:

(Upstairs bathroom for those in the know.) What do you think?

M & I have been listening to Coffee Break French podcast to pick up some lang. skills in advance of our trip next month. We can ask each other how we are and introduce ourselves to each other as our own husband and wife. V. handy. Last night we watched Tell No One, a rather interesting and amusing French film from 2006 (despite ridick convoluted plot.)

Today we went to Renegade Craft Fair, which was fun but INSANELY crowded, and I got kind of creeped out by the crowd (as I'm wont to do) and had to split. But, not before I got some super-cute stuff, like:

Ooh I love BOTH those sinks! I like how your aesthetic can be so different, and yet, each one is so you. I don't think you can go wrong either way.

I love both too! I think sink #1 is more "you". Is there some internet quiz you can take to determine your sink type?

Caitlin, nice to see you can blog and breastfeed at the same time :) That's a good sign that things are goign well.

I agree with Caitlin that each one is very you! Personally, I'm more in favor of sink #1 - I like the look a lot, and think it would go nicely in that bathroom.

You know, one thought I just had is that stainless steel can, imho, be a bitch to keep looking bright and clean in a place where there's a lot of water hanging out. You know how it leaves smudges and water marks and fingerprints and such. that's what #1 is, right, stainless steel? I had a frig that's with a stainless steel front and sometimes I have to use a special cleaner for it if I want it to keep looking nice...anyway, just a thought.

The sinks: lovely. The second is more practical and not at all me but it could be you and there's nothing wrong with that.

I love the glimpses of your craft fair treasures...I'd love to see photos of your actual purchases...
