Yo! Where my Indiana peeps at? I am so proud of you! Doesn't it feel good to be blue?
Last night as I watched more and more of the map get painted blue, I let wash away some of the animosity and resentment I've held toward my fellow americans for the past 8 years. After such a landslide win I believe this country really does want peace and change and is as hopeful as I am that Obama is the person to help us get there. Also something that really moved me was watching so many African Americans talk about how meaningful it is to see this happen, and what a difference it will make in their lives and their children's lives.

I saw Pennsylvania turn blue and I was happy. Ohio, Virginia, Colorado, and Nevada all got me excited. But Indiana?

I can't be as happy as you all. I have some doubts about him, and I had some doubts about McCain too. I am waiting to see what he really does in the next 4 years, b/c during his acceptance speech he stated it could take longer than one term to change things around. Right there is his whole changing his mind thing that he does. I hope it turns out for the best.
I'm sure it will take longer than 4 years to clean up the mess Bush made. I mean, we're, what, 10 trillion dollars in debt? You can't turn that around in 4 years. But there are some real changes he can make. And I'm sure we can count on him making sound choices for the Supreme Court.
Yes, I am excited that Little Buddy will be born into a country where all of our citizens have a fair chance at acheiving the highest office! What a role model for our kids!
For me, it was awesome to see Indiana finally vote some way other than Republican, if for no other reason than to give Hoosiers a reason to believe that their vote can make a difference either way.
And as for concerns or doubts, I think just watching the way the members of McCain/Palin campaign are now behaving in the aftermath should give everyone a good idea that nation choose correctly.
D'oh! I meant of course, "*chose* correctly."
I am so happy he is president. He is a role model for many people. I am only a teenager but I was utterly inspired by his speech.
