Recaps

What a week! The inauguration was amazing, I went to Florida and back (it was a disappointing 50 degrees down there), the Bushes left DC (so long, suckas!), the Oscar nominations came out, my husband didn't get laid off (whew!)!

Readers of Agoraphobia might not be so disillusioned, but sometimes people suffer under the mistaken impression that I am a very nice person. Not so! In fact, I make fun of former vice-presidents who are in wheelchairs! I have to tell you, the official story, that Cheney threw out his back while packin' up, is total BS, mark my words (mark them!). Are we meant to believe that Dick effin' Cheney packs his own shit up? Please. Dick Cheney doesn't even slaughter the innocents by himself before he devours them, much less packs his own damn box and carries it out to the U-Haul. I have a sixth sense for these things. I knew right away they were lying about "weapons of mass destruction" in Iraq, and when they said he threw his back out moving boxes I knew that was a lie too. I just find it amusing that the administration left us with one more lie for goodness knows why.

No major surprises in the Oscar nominations. I still want to see Slumdog Millionaire and the Curious Case of BB, and Doubt (wow, Meryl Streep and Amy Adams AND Philip Seymour Hoffman got noms?!?) I love that Robert Downey Jr. got nominated for Tropic Thunder and Happy-Go-Lucky and Wall-E for Original Screenplay. To me, Orig. Screenplay is just teh prize to win.

Stay tuned for my underappreciated If We Picked the Oscars!

Remember when Dick shot that guy while hunting and the guy apologized to Dick for getting shot by him? One of the most surreal moments in politics over the past eight years and that is saying a lot.

I'm disappointed The Wrestler didn't get a best picture nomination.

Dick C shooting his old friend IN THE FACE was definitely my favorite moment in the Bush Presidency.

You crack me up, you MEAN person! That is hiliarious!

Sorry FL wasn't what you expected with higher temps. Probably couldn't have gotten a good tan in 2 days any ways, so you saved your skin a little while longer. But the nice warm sun would have felt good.

BOY, I'm glad those two guys are out of Washington, and took some of their cronies with 'em!
