Item!

Anyone watching American Idol? By the time it gets to the end, who cares? Am I right? I like that Siobhan person, and Crystal. But otherwise it's totally snoresville. This week's Glee was terrific - I've been waiting for Neil P. Harris to guest star ever since that show came on the air. I Dreamed a Dream was awesome, in a way I never thought it could be awesome post-Susan-Boyle. I found myself mildly outraged as Kevin McHale's character Artie (spoilers!) got up out his wheelchair and sang "You Can Dance" but, the dancing was friggin' incredible and it turns out it was just a (spoiler!) dream anyway. I watched that sequence twice. I like how they shot it flash-mob style. Oh, snap! I just found out Joss Whedon directed that episode. Well, that explains everything.

I'm also watching Modern Family and Parenthood, although I think I'm going to drop Parenthood, despite it's stellar cast, because of it's ridiculously hackneyed story lines. That show plays like a G.D. 1980's family dramedy. It's like watching freakin' Family Ties or some shit. But Modern Family's good television.

NPH was amazing, as was that whole episode. I'd say they should get Joss directing Glee full-time, but that would just ensure its cancellation. I also dug the shout-out for stem-cell research.
I need to watch that flash-mob scene again- so very effing cool.

Parenthood is okay-ish, but I also prefer Modern Family, which never almost never makes me laugh, but I usually enjoy it. "Moon Landing" is a great phrase.

I loved the piano man duet! So awesome!

We also dropped Parenthood about 4 episodes ago. Maybe we have a short attention span, because I love all the people in it. Too much TV. I need to save my viewing hours for things like the Real Housewives and Kendra.

What's a "moon landing"? I don't remember...

Kendra! Ah, she warms my heart.

Oh, all the Glee love over here---this week's episode WAS great, even if light on Britney---NPH is a natural for the show and I hope we'll be seeing more of him there. I loved the "Dream On" duo and thought Arie's "Safety Dance" was perfection itself...

funny---I just began watching Modern Family a couple weeks ago. I just keep seeing Al Bundy...

I am waiting for Glee in a box set, but I do remember a special feature on the first season set about casting. They kept saying "triple threat" over and over (sing, act and dance) it was annoying in the same way that ome actors say organic over and over in their dvd interviews, but the irony was the actor playing Artie was the best dancer in the real life, I'm glad he at least got a dream sequence.
